Google fixes issue with the Assistant’s noise

What do you think of when you hear the word noise? We bet it’s not positive things, right? The word invokes an image of chaos, disorder, and confusion. Why then did Google choose the term white noise to represent the sound their new virtual assistant makes? It seems like a strange decision at first glance, but it becomes clearer as we look at the reasons behind it and all the functionality this innovative sound offers.
What was the issue?
On Tuesday, Google said it was fixing an issue with its AI-driven voice assistant that was inadvertently turning on a white noise function at random times and startling users. In a statement to media outlets, a Google representative wrote: We are aware of an issue affecting some Google Home Mini devices that could cause them to mistakenly interpret background noise as a request to activate… We are rolling out a software update today which should address the problem. One person took to Twitter about their Mini randomly activating in response to loud music playing in their house. Another noticed it activating while they were watching TV in another room — even though there weren’t any loud sounds coming from their device.
What is Google Assistant?
Google Assistant is an intelligent personal assistant developed by Google for its Android and iOS operating systems, in addition to being a digital voice assistant on some of Google’s hardware products such as Google Home and Allo. The app includes many features similar to those found in other virtual assistants; however, it also offers several others unique only to itself or not found in any other major competing service. It also allows users to perform web searches using their voice which are then processed through Google’s search algorithms and displayed as results on a smartphone screen.
Other Google Assistant Products
Google Pixel Buds and Google Home speakers can also access Google Assistant. Ask your speaker to help you get things done, send a text, play music, navigate home or start a simple (or complex) task using just your voice. And if you have more than one of these devices in your home, you can use them together to make phone calls, listen to music in stereo or turn on lights in every room of your house. With Google Home, getting answers is as easy as asking a question.
Should you buy them?
The answer is a resounding yes. You might be concerned about privacy issues, but if you do not want your assistant to hear you when it is playing music or something else, just say Hey Google to wake it up and give it a command like Turn off. This will disable its microphone while allowing you to continue listening to music (or whatever else) at a decent volume level. Plus, there are already instructions floating around online explaining how those worried about their privacy can cover up its camera lens for additional protection. It’s worth noting that Google does have a system in place for reporting and addressing issues users may have with Assistant; keep an eye out for notifications from Google if you have any concerns.

Sony is still manufacturing the PS4

Sony has said that it’s still making new Playstation 4 consoles, but most stores no longer sell them. The new Playstation 5 isn’t out yet, and the PS4 should be in stores until then. But the makers of the PS4 are no longer making the console. They’re making the PS4 Pro instead. If you want to buy a new Playstation 4, it may be tough to find one in stores. Even online retailers like Amazon are selling them at higher prices than when they were initially released several years ago.
Why is it still being manufactured?
Over two years after its launch, Sony is still making new PlayStation 4 consoles. In a statement to The Verge, a representative for Sony confirmed that production of new systems has not ceased and that production is expected to continue throughout 2018. That’s in spite of dwindling sales. Both Microsoft and Nintendo have stopped making their respective current-generation consoles — Xbox One and Wii U — but there are so many older models around that it hasn’t been necessary for Sony to do so. There are also rumors circulating about an upgraded model of PS4, similar to last year’s PS4 Pro, but nothing has been confirmed by Sony at present. Its upcoming console, PlayStation 5, won’t be out until 2019 at least.
A brief about the PS4
PlayStation 4 is a home video game console developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. Announced as the successor to PlayStation 3 in February, 2013, it was launched on November 15 in North America, November 29 in Europe, South America and Australia; and February 22, 2014, in Japan. The PlayStation 4 Pro was released on November 10 2016 that is said to be twice as powerful as original model. The PS4 Slim was revealed at an event held on September 7 2016 with a release date set for September 15 of that year. It features reduced hardware specifications similar to those of SNES Classic Edition.
What Makes It Different From Other Consoles
The PlayStation 4’s biggest selling point is its extensive multimedia capabilities. Although Microsoft’s Xbox One has a Blu-ray drive and can play movie discs, Sony’s system is better suited for streaming music and video from your computer or mobile device. It also offers remote access to your home PC and stream games from your home desktop if you have a powerful enough rig. Finally, it includes an updated version of Sony’s Music Unlimited service with both free and paid tiers.
Final Thoughts
Sony has gone on record to say that it’s still producing new PS4 consoles. So if you feel like you can’t find one in a store, there are probably some sitting in warehouses all over the world, just waiting for someone to come along and buy them. So why aren’t they selling? It’s because video game sales have been struggling lately; so much so that shares of Nintendo recently fell below their price from last summer, before Pokemon Go was released! Meanwhile, software publisher Take-Two Interactive says its GTA V continues to sell at retail despite being available as a digital download since late 2014. Take-Two cites an uptick in GTA V PC sales specifically as part of its overall first quarter results announcement.

Samsung has announced their first smartphone chip with AMD’s ray tracing GPU. The Exynos 2200 is a 4nm chip that will be powering Samsung’s next flagship phones. The Exynos 2200 is the first mobile chip to use AMD’s Radeon technology, which will allow for better graphics and more realistic lighting effects.
Samsung has not disclosed any information about pricing or availability of the new chip just yet, but it will be powering the company’s next flagship phones. Samsung Exynos 2200 is based on EUV process. It uses Armvp cores: one high-powered Cortex-X2, three Cortex-A710 cores for balanced performance, and four more efficient Cortex-A510 cores.
The GPU will be used for tasks like augmented reality and virtual reality experiences, as well as for processing high-resolution images and video.
The new chip is also expected to offer better performance than Samsung’s previous generation chips. Its ISP architecture is designed to support cameras of upto 200 megapixels.
Let us know what do you think about it in the comments…
What’s the future of Samsung’s lineup of tablets? Rumors are swirling that Samsung will be releasing new versions of its Galaxy Tab S line of tablets in the near future, and they may even introduce a brand-new Ultra model with a large 14.6-inch display and slim bezels. If true, this could put it in direct competition with Apple’s iPad Pro, which has an 11-inch display and 9.7-inch display model to choose from. Here’s what we know about Samsung’s upcoming tablet lineup so far.
Samsung’s Past Tablets
Samsung has been a major player in the tablet space for years, and its devices have evolved over time to add more power, longer battery life, and higher screen resolutions. Even so, it has always relied on full-size tablets with 10 inches or larger screens. The trend might be changing soon: according to VentureBeat, Samsung could debut a new lineup of tablets at IFA 2018 that includes an Ultra model with a 15.6-inch display and a notch cutout for your camera and sensors.
How Big Will the Screen Be?
We know that tech companies are always on the hunt for new technology, but would you believe that Samsung is already planning for 2022? Apparently, that’s when Samsung may release its next tablet — one with a screen so big it’ll wrap around both sides of your hand! So just how big could it be? If rumors are true, pretty darn big: about 0.4 inches bigger than last year’s model and roughly 0.02 inches larger than an iPad Mini 3 — making it incredibly easy to hold in one hand and comically bulky if you try using two hands at once!
What Kind of Notch Will It Have?
The next smartphone from Samsung could feature two notches on its screen – one for its front camera and another for its in-display fingerprint sensor. If that sounds ridiculous, don’t worry: it is. While we’ve already seen multiple notch concepts for smartphones with dual front cameras, such as what Vivo showed off.
How Much Will It Cost?
It should be noted that Samsung hasn’t officially announced any new tablet plans yet, so it’s unclear how much Samsung 2022 will cost or what kind of specs we can expect. Given that most top tablets today come with high-end quad-core processors, we’d wager that Samsung will stick to what works (for now) and include something similar in its next tablet lineup as well. Of course, it could always switch things up and go with a dual-core processor—but don’t count on it if you’re looking for speed…and if you are looking for speed, keep in mind that newer isn’t always better when it comes to chips: Android L is optimized for use with 64-bit architecture but most phones won’t get an update until next year at least.
Final Thoughts
Design, Specs and Release Date : Samsung’s first tablet was unveiled in 2011 and brought us an exciting slate of features. Since then, Samsung has released several versions of its Galaxy Tab line that have featured bigger screens, better performance and more advanced specifications. With rumors suggesting that 2019 could be an off year for new smartphones, it’s possible that we’ll see a similar strategy with tablets as well. If so, it’s not hard to imagine a big slate from Samsung, including some exciting features—and one big notch! That would make for one pretty awesome tablet from our favorite smartphone maker in 2022.
